It's hard to write about Masia Sumidors without thinking of every charming cliche in the book - and "Hidden gem" is most apt of all. High up in the mountains of a national park, this beautiful old farmhouse stands proudly in a forest clearing, with a timeless old-world charm and wonderful hosts, Keith and Natalie, who make it feel like a home away from home. We stayed in the junior suite, which has its own private terrace and a winding path down through the garden to the pool. The views out over the park were incredible - and made it almost impossible to go anywhere! Every evening we ate in the hotel restaurant - Keith, the chef, is extraordinarily talented and cooked us some of the best food we had in Spain, using all fresh local produce. We left 3 days later feeling properly relaxed and rejuvenated.

I just spent a weekend at Masia Sumidors with my partner and it was WONDERFUL! This old farm has a unique atmosphere and offers everything to relax, enjoy nature and the delicious food. Owners Keith and Nathalie do their job with so much heart and do everything to make sure you have a great vacation! Apart from this they are super friendly and after work they sit down with the guests to talk and have a drink. Also, Keith is a super cook and prepares a very rich breakfast and dinners with a super good quality price. As a room, I recommend reserving the "Junior Suite" as it is in a separate building with its own terrace and its own access to the pool, it gives it a touch of more privacy. The hotel is in the middle of nature, but still very close to Barcelona, Sitges and the places in the region that are worth visiting.

Great location for venturing about the local area as its 10 mins from Sitges up in the mountain and close to a large inland town vineyard… The room is very old style and charming!! Lots of old features. It is not fitted out with modern features but that’s part of the charm and what you’d expect. They cleaned the room every day spotlessly. And the products were from botanicals which was a nice touch. There is a portable fan in the room which you may need as no AC. But room wasn’t too hot really… Just a nice chilled out place with very nice and hospitable hosts who are making a life in Spain with their family and doing a lovely job and trying to make improvements to the property all the time. Please support this business if you can. Even if it’s just for dinner, it’s well worth it!!!!
